Ah yes...beautiful last sentence. And it could be read as if he'd been left there on the sand by the retreating sea. Like the first life form.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard any interesting theories about what happened to Gately? A lot of online stuff seems to not deal with this question due to the "spoiler" issue. I like the first life form notion especially in the context of string theory which allows for the existence of other dimensions. Question still is I guess whether you believe in consciousness beyond the physical, blood-pumping body.
